Careers Education - Future Me

Careers education is an integral part of our ‘Future Me’ programme, which is designed to inspire ambition, raise aspirations and help children understand the exciting opportunities available to them in the future. We believe that career-related learning should begin at an early age, enabling pupils to make meaningful connections between their learning, their interests and the wider world of work.

Through a carefully planned programme of activities, children explore a broad range of careers and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they will need for future success. Our careers offer includes career-themed assemblies, dedicated learning through our PSHE curriculum using Kapow resources, and careers education delivered through the Unifrog scheme of work. Pupils also participate in career-focused days, volunteering opportunities and a variety of experiences that help them develop essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, resilience, leadership and problem-solving.

By embedding career-related learning throughout school life, we encourage children to recognise their strengths, challenge stereotypes, broaden their horizons and begin to see themselves as the successful adults they can become. Through ‘Future Me’, we aim to equip every child with the aspiration, self-belief and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The Unifrog platform supports our careers education programme by providing age-appropriate lessons and activities that help children explore a wide range of jobs, understand how their interests and strengths link to future careers, and develop the skills and aspirations needed to achieve their goals.
